Roles and Objectives:
- Formulation of medium to long-term national priorities and programmes for Poverty Eradication
- Formulation of medium to long-term plans for private sector development strategy and medium term competitiveness strategy.
- Undertake policy research on persistence of poverty in some regions of the country.
- Build institutional and national capacities in policy formulation and evaluation for sustained economic growth and poverty reduction.
