17th September 2007: Updates of the PEAP Revision Process 2007/2008
In the week of the 10th - 14th September 2007, the PEAP Secretariat continued to work on several activities related to the PEAP Revision process.
- A Concept Note setting out some of the key development issues and challenges over the next 5 years was presented to the Ministers retreat on the 10th September 2007.
- The was attended by Top Management and selected technical officers from different institutions
- A proceedings report was produced. The paper is being revised to take into consideration the comments from the participants at the retreat.
- The Paper from the retreat will also be revised and used as a consultation document for the budget process
- The technical officers will also be continuing to discuss, what needs to be developed for the 5 years - is it a planning framework or the national plan with the attendant costs
This week will focus on:
- Revising the Concept Note from Top Management
- Sending out the Letter and Note announcing the PEAP revision process to all stakeholders
- Starting on the analytical work and studies that will feed into the PEAP revision process
- Resource mobilization of all activities for the PEAP revision process that are unfunded
- Hold the secretariat Tuesday meetings and Full Committee meetings
