23rd November 2007: Updates of the PEAP Revision Process 2007/2008
Week 19th – 23rd Nov 2007For the above week the PEAP Secretariat worked on the preparation and the convening on the Planning and Prioritization workshop. The workshop was held in Sunset Hotel Jinja and brought together over 120 sector officers, CSO representatives, donors and private sector representations for two days (20th – 21st Nov). The workshop focused on sharing all the documentation that the PEAP Secretariat had developed which included:
- Working Paper Outlines and content
- Revision Process
- Development Objectives
- Concept Note for the revision process
- Sector Guidelines for the development of the sector submissions to the NDP
- Prioritization of areas for investment in the next National Budget 2008/9
The meeting agreed that the secretariat should revise the sector guidance note as per the issues raised and then send it out to the sectors with a letter to the institutional heads.
This week will focus on:
- Finalizing the sector guidance note
- Sending out the note with the letter by PS/ST
- Preparing for the initial consultations with Local Government in the week starting 3rd Dec
- Continuing with the sector consultations
