Hon. Henry Musasizi meets the Secretary General of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) H.E Moussa Batraki
Finance Minister Henry Musasizi has met the Secretary General of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) H.E Moussa Batraki at the Finance Ministry.
The Minister thanked the Secretary General of OACPS for the renewed commitment to strengthen the organization and also advocating for the independence of the 79 member states.
Musasizi said Uganda is focused on promoting trade and investment between the member States, adding that Uganda also welcomes partners who are ready to support her ambition of building a 500- billion-dollar economy by 2040.
“We need support and collaboration to drive this agenda through the ATMS and the enablers which include peace and security, infrastructure development, cheap electricity to support industry and human capital among others,” said Musasizi.
H.E Moussa Batraki thanked the Government of Uganda for the commitment to OACPS as a member country and also expressed commitment to coordinate and strengthen the partnerships between the member states and advancing the Organization’s reform agenda.
