Finance Minister signed Loan Financing agreement worth USD 30 Million for upgrading Katine-Ochero road with OPEC Fund for International Development

Finance Minister signed  a loan financing agreement worth USD 30 million for the Katine-Ochero road upgrading project with the Director General,OPEC Fund for International Development Dr.Abdulhamid Al-Khalifa at Ministry of Finance, planning and Economic Development.

The road will connect the districts of Soroti and Kaberamaido and entails construction of a 69.3km,

2- lane roadway including earth works, pavement and drainage works.

"On behalf of the people of Uganda, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the beneficial and cordial cooperation with OPEC Fund for International Development," said Hon. Matia Kasaija.

The Finance Minister who was flanked by the Works Minister Gen. Katumba Wamala urged Ministry of works where the loan will be executed to ensure that all Gov't obligations are fully met so that the project can be expeditiously implemented.
