Private Sector Development Programme Annual Review for FY 2024/25
Today Hon Henry Musasizi the State Minister for General Duties today launched the annual review of the Private Sector Development programme PIAP FY 2024/25.
“Despite the challenges highlighted by the Permanent Secretary/Secretary to the Treasury including the COVID-19 pandemic and global pandemic economic disruption-Uganda has registered significant success under NDP III. Microeconomic indicators reflect resilience and stability, making Uganda increasingly attractive to investors.” Said the Ministers.
Mr Moses Kaggwa the acting Director for Economic Affairs represented the Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury at the Private Sector Development programme annual review for FY 2024/25 under theme “strengthening formalization under the NDP”at Mestil hotel in Kampala.
Mr Kagwa told the delegates now that the NDP III is done and Government has embarked on the implementation of the NDP IV. ”Formalization remains a thorny issue even as we turn this page in our development programme”.

He implored delegates attending review meeting to reflect on the programme experiences and lessons under NDP III and to carefully consider the adjustments needed to improve our effectiveness in ensuring that the PSD programme performance is better under the NDP IV.
In attendance are civil society organizations, development partners, private sector organizations, Local Governments Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
